Michigander who grew up in California and now lives in Utah. After twenty years as a software developer, he became a professor of Computer Science at Utah Valley University in 2001. Former editor of the C/C++ Users Journal (now part for Dr. Dobbs), contributing member of the ISO C++ Standards Committee, author of two C++ books, and corporate trainer in Modern C++ and Python. Rides the country roads of Central Utah on his Fezzari CR-3 road bicycle, or plays classical guitar, in his not-so-copious spare time. Currently preparing a text on the Theory of Computation for publication.
